As a part of our mission to educate the public and with the support of a grant from Strowd Roses Inc, South Orange Rescue Squad now offers free CPR and AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator) classes to individuals and groups within Orange County, North Carolina.

Our volunteer American Heart Association Instructors teach Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider, Heartsaver classes for the public and for schools, and CPR for Family and Friends. We hope to offer American Heart Association First Aid classes in the near future.

You can check out our upcoming CPR classes by looking at our CPR Calendar. We have open classes on the first Tuesday of each month at our Station at 202 Roberson Street, Carrboro. These alternate between 'Friends & Family' (F&F), 'Heartsaver-AED' (HS-AED) and 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP); each one is scheduled every three months. But, we have several other group classes scheduled, contact us if you want to join a group class.

To request a CPR class for a group or organization please submit this form. To sign up as an individual for a CPR class please submit this form. Or, just send us an email at cprclass@sorescue.org.
